Indus does not care to resolve my issue. That is why I posted my issue.
It is my attempt to sway others away from Indus . They are not a quality company and quite deceiving.
They print what they want and do not care if it is deceiving,lying, untruthful. They call it "...
They do not share information which should have been a red flag. They would not tell me the tour company which has a 2 star rating until it was too late. Indus put words on their website and stated it was a generalization. Enjoy in flight meals and services = IF YOU PAY EXTRA FOR IT .
They state they have a A+ BBB rating but the BBB told me they rate only on the response time of a company.
It did not take the company long to say NO. Please learn from others and do not book with this company.STAY CLEAR OF INDUS

Coming back to update. I took another tour with Indus to Greece.
I have been dissatisfied due to the trip not being as advertised or a lesser version. I booked an English speaking your and nearly everything is in Spanish!! This trip felt like a rip off. I am very disappointed Indus.
My old review is below. DO NOT BOOK WITH INDUS TO GREECE!!! BEWARE OF EUROPMUNDO! VERY DISSATISFIED!!!
My previous expierence: I participated in a group trip to Dubai and Ask for Ramez and Noha as guides if you go to Cairo!
They know so much history and helped me capitalize on the short time I was there.
I was able to visit Alexandria too! I will return to Egypt!!!

DO NOT USE Travel Indus for traveling. DO NOT DI live in Sarasota, Florida and was supposed to fly to Europe the same day that Category 4 hurricane Ian hit us.
Indus Travel said it was fine for us to travel. The hurricane was catastrophic; many lost their homes due to the winds and flooding and we lost water, power and Wi-Fi for over a week in addition to minor damage. We were required to evacuate and sheltered with all roads closed during the hurricane. Even our main Florida highway was flooded.
I asked Travel Indus to postpone our trip. They refused. They could care less about us losing our lives and completely ignored our multiple requests to postpone the trip. I contacted them 12 times in 1 week and received no help.
We are losing everything. This company is disgraceful and shouldnt be doing travel business.

Terrible experience
I booked with Indus Travel, in December of 2021 for a trip going to Greece,, Italy and Switzerland starting 9/13/2022 - 9/24/2023 I did not find out that are group was not being operated by the company we paid until 7 days before departure , before we booked with Indus travel several questions were ask , will there be a Indus travel guide meeting us at the airport and be with us for are entire vacation? we were told yes , will the hotels you have advertised on your website be the hotels we will be staying in?
Again the answer was yes, if there are any changes to your travel program will we be notified ? again the answer was yes, all of the answers were not true.we arrived in Greece on 9/14 some of us arrived at 0930 some of us arrived at 1230, driver showed up at 1p unable to speak english.. We were listed to stay at the Stanley hotel instead we were taken to the Novotel hotel ,we were told we would have a meet and greet in the evening, instructions would be on board in the lobby of hotel. No such thing happen.
this was when we realized that we were not being represented by Indus Travel but instead we had been turned over to Europamundo vacations, ( a third party company)are hotels were different than what was advertised ( all were a downgrade except 3 ), day 2 we never saw anyone from Indus travel or from Europamundo vacations and day 5 was a lost because we were on a cargo/ transport ferry for 23 hrs, we got on ferry on 9/17 at 6:30pm and got off on 9/18 at 7: 30pm So we didn't tour Anacona, or Loreto ( the house of the Virgin Mary. The medieval town or the sanctaury of the holy house or even view the abruzzos region ,we arrived in Anacona at 7p , we got off ferry , start looking for are travel guide whom we had not seen since we got on ferry once we found him Nikos took us to a very nice bus at which time it had become dark, Nikos began to narrate in the dark as if we could see what he was talking about , we then drove 5 hrs or so to Rome. Again horrible hotel , we changed are room twice and was still disappointed , but Nikos left without saying goodbye( probably because everyone was complaining about the ferry, being hungry, missing a full day that everyone paided for the terrible hotels and his lack of empathy for his group.) But things got better on day 6 when Gabrielle ( Gabby ) took over, awesome guide , very knowledgeable, consistent, professional and caring . She helped all of the travelers by reassuring us that she was are guide and we would not feel lost or lefted out , Thank you so much Gabrielle for your commitment , professionalism and caring, Gabrielle made are last 4 days better than ever.
Most of the travellers were looking to fly home from Rome, I am glad Gabrielle came along , which helpd me continue on with my tour group, my first 5 days of my travel I felt anxiety for all of the terrible experiences that we all shared. I feel that I was deceived and slightly scammed, I have been on many international tours with many tour companies and groups, and will continue to travel aboard, just not with Indus Travel company

Indus basically ruined much of our The
Indus basically ruined much of our The Best of the Amalfi Coast trip taken this September, 2021. We booked the trip primarily to visit Positano and Ravello, close to Amalfi, Italy.
Indus listed possibility of visiting these sites in its advertising as well as trip itinerary. Instead of working with us about arranging to visit these towns, Indus gave us assorted erroneous information, including that excursions had been cancelled to those villages because of Covid; that their Italian contact said we would need to pay $1000$1500 to pay to charter boat; that no other way available to visit sites. All wrong information. When we were in Amalfi, we easily contacted the ferry and paid about 18 euros round trip for the trip to Positano.
This was only the beginning of the many problems, most of them costing us more money. The driver did not meet us in the usual place at the airport. When we finally located him, he said that Indus instructions in their itinerary outdated. Indus did not respond to our emergency communication before we finally located the driver.
Indus did not provide transportation to the Coliseum or Vatican tours as stated in the itinerary. Instead, we had to pay for round trip taxis. Indus did not provide transportation to the train station. Indus made reservations for both me and my friend (73 years old each) in separate railway cars.
I was surrounded by empty seats. There was no reason to separate us. Indus did not respond to my emergency email after my friend missed the train. Indus booked us a hotel in Atrani where we had to climb a steep 81 steps to reach the hotel.
We would never have agreed to that climb, as it could have been very dangerous for us. The hotel in Atrani where we were booked told us that there was no shuttle or taxi service to Amalfi. We had to hire a driver at 20 euros a trip to take us or take a steep walk including on a side of the road and a dark tunnel with no sidewalk to have reached Amalfi. Italys traffic is dangerously aggressive and we did not want to walk.
Indus communication was terrible and they didnt work with us about the problems they created in our trip. Very poor and at times non existent customer service for a very expensive trip. Also, Indus agent was almost impossible for us to understand, and my friend and I are native English speakers. We made it clear we could not understand him to no avail.
Around $3000 each for this eight day trip. Unbelievable stress

I saw a 5 Star Dubai trip advertised on Travelzoo, and decided to take the trip. I paid $949 April 30, 2020 via American Express.
The trip was advertised as fully refundable if cancelled within 60 days of travel which I did cancel in the time allotted. My emails to Tordes Charlton, inside sales manager, were replied with the cannot refund to my credit card because of computer software issues, the first check must of been lost in the mail, this new check mailed out because the Canadian mail is so slow, it will take three weeks for me to receive this check. I requested UPS, but not an option with them.
The Canadian Embassy in Washington stated mail to the United States does not take three weeks as stated in my email from Tordes, I asked to be emailed a copy of the check no response. I think it is wishful thinking my refund will be coming from them.

Disappointing – Terrible Handling During Covid
Update 07/24:
I'm still getting the runaround and a lot of word sandwich emails. Tordes finally responded with a lie that I requested this voucher from Daniel.
Nope. From day one early March I have requested a refund for my trip which they cancelled.
Daniel specifically emailed me that he was unable to assist me with a refund and Tordes was not responding to any of the emails. Daniel then followed with an email to me and this bogus voucher.
I never asked Daniel for a voucher. This voucher is a rip off as it is valued significantly less making it impossible for me to redeem for the trip I booked and paid for-the trip which I booked which entered me in to a customer relationship with Indus.
In December 2020, Indus charged me an additional $400 to depart from LA for my trip.
Suddenly, Indus has removed all previous available departure airports for Captivating South Africa except NY. So, they stole that $400 and added significant additional expense to me to take this trip in future as I will now have to book a flight from LA to NY.
Indus has a policy that their company will not change the price of a trip after the final payment is made. Final payment was made to them. This voucher is a workaround for their own policy.
That is disgusting customer service to take advantage of someone during a pandemic.
Second, I would not have had to absorb a $126 cancellation fee from Emirates had they listened to me in the first place in early March and not booked my flight for April. Instead, they booked it, sent me the flight info and turned around 3 days later in an email informing me my April trip was cancelled.
1. Indus put up a false message on their webpage promising refunds due to COVID.
2. Indus has not been transparent about how their company is handling COVID.
In fact, there is nothing on their website even mentioning COVID.
3. Indus changed the price of my trip and did not even communicate those changes to me, but instead gave me a sneaky voucher which is valued less making it impossible to redeem for the trip I paid in full for in Dec.
4. Indus sales associates have repeatedly reminded me they are not obligated to help me. Have literally told me via email they have no options available to me.
Have passed me from associate to associate, hung up on me and ignored my emails.

I'm a repeat customer for Indus. I booked a trip with Indus on Dec 2nd 2020 for South Africa, to depart mid-April. On March 5th I contacted them with my concerns about COVID.
Indus replied that they were not obligated to address my concerns or provide any travel options as "no travel advisories from the US government" existed at that time.
Originally, Indus had published a message on their homepage regarding COVID, promising customers a refund.

After initiating my communication with Indus, Indus then changed their homepage messaging to include a cut-off date. This new date made me now ineligible for a refund. (attached)
Indus sent me my flight booking on March 12th. On March 15th I received an email from Indus that my April trip was now cancelled.
My only option was to select between a limited 5 new departure dates between Sept-Oct 2020. I reluctantly selected mid-Sept.
On July 17th I was contacted by Indus requesting I again select a new departure date as my mid-Sept trip was now cancelled too. This time I was given new departure dates between Jan 2021-Nov 2021. My original payment would be transferred, but any penalties or additional charges from change in rates would be on me to cover.
Currently, Indus offers ZERO information or updates regarding COVID on their website.
Unlike many of their competitors such as TravelZoo, Gate1 Travel, Tauck, Abercrombie & Kent, Intrepid Travel and Collette who have proactively faced this crisis head on, working in the best interest of their customers and providing information as to their policy changes. They are refusing to provide me with a refund. Instead they have now cancelled my trip and given me this bogus voucher which I won't be able to redeem for the trip I booked in the future.
I understand we are in some pretty unusual times. It's not a great time to be a travel company right now.
Unfortunately, Indus has taken the short-term business approach. Hold all the money, pass the customer from person to person and provide zero communication regarding policy around COVID. This may ultimately hurt them in the long run.
I can not speak for all customers, but I will not book anything new with Indus again.
I would have happily spent more money with Indus in future, continuing as a customer. I take back all the great reviews and word of mouth referrals I had given them.

They are unethical. Their Agents lie to slant everything in the Company’s favor. They are Ruthless and they are unwilling to refund one single dime to the customer! Buyer Beeare!
We booked a family trip of a Lifetime to Israel and Egypt In July 2020 for our daughters graduation gift ( Pre-Covid). We paid our deposit in December 2019.
We were told we Must pay Immediately to secure airfare! We Did... We paid A $11,000.00 Deposit! Then Covid hit in February bringing All travel to a halt!
We were then told by Indus that we Must pay our balance ($16,000.00) in April 2020 ( in the middle of Covid). We informed Indus that we were in the middle of a Pandemic and were not even allowed to leave the US, so we were not willing to pay more of our money if they couldnt confirm we would be able to travel in July 2029 like our contract/ agreement said. Indus refused to refund our deposit ( $11,000.00) due to ... Ill use everyones favorite word Unprecedented times.
Indus said No they could Not return our deposit money because it had already been paid to their vendors, so they would offer that we could postpone our trip to Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 If and only If we passed d them even more of our money ( $$16,00.00 to be exact). Having daughters who are Now entering Graduate School... That is NOT an option for us! And we NEVER agreed to those future dates.
They will NOT work!! We then informed our Credit Card company about this. Indus muddied the waters even more with their lies and said their offer was we could reschedule our trip once we paid the balance in full. We are Not Fools!
We did Not give them any more of our money for a service they can no longer provide. We did Not cancel! Indus told our credit card company that we did not respond... Yet another lie!
We investigated... Over $9,000.00 of our $11,000.00 deposit went toward airfare. United Airlines.We called United and spoke to them personally!! United refunded OUR money back to Indus...
( the original method of payment) We trusted Indus to then give us at least our $9,000.00 back out of the $11,000.00, since we have proof in writing that says our ticket money WAS refunded on July 22, 2020. Indus Will Not refund our money to us! This is robbery! Indus hides behind their Fine Print ( Pre Covid) by saying because we didnt pay the rest of our balance to them....
It is considered cancelled! Its a scam... a goat rope... a game where Indus will always win!
This is so sad that while United Airlines refunded OUR money to Indus due to Not being able to travel outside of the US... Indus feels like they can keep OUR money! This is wrong on so many levels! As God is my witness, He knows the truth and Indus will have to answer for their blatant dishonesty in this matter!

Others to be aware before purchasing
In 2019, we attended the Jewels of Spain and Italy guided tour. A taxi driver picked us up at the hotel in Spain and dumped us at Julia travel w/no instructions.
The scene was chaotic with tourists trying to determine what line to be in and where to stand for the appropriate tour. Eventually, we found the tour line only because my husband speaks Spanish. At the end of the tour they dumped us in the bus depot with no instructions or driver to take anyone back to the hotel. The tour guide just walked away.
We had to use a GPS app to help us and others find our hotel in the heat. Once we were passed onto the long term tour guides, for both Spain and Italy, they did a good job. We found that Indus blended other tours w/ ours so people were ending or beginning trips and needed to be dropped off at different places. So no one was sure when they needed to get off/on the bus.
The transition between Spain and Italy was stressful. The Indus paperwork did not list which ferry or terminal to go to so our taxi driver guessed. The ticket counter guy said Indus did not provide some document we needed so we were stressed to have to work that out. The ferry was packed with people and animals sleeping in the halls, no towels and an abundance of smokers.
Indus said they paid for our meals but when I presented our ticket the cashier stated only a few selected items were included which was basically fruit and a small sandwich. It would have been nice to know that before I made my selections. The ferry was suppose to leave at 9pm, it left a 1am. No one was communicating to the tourists, everyone was confused about which boat was theirs and where and when did they board.
We were so late arriving to Italy, the driver told us he almost left. Once we arrived in Italy, we had a 2 hr drive to Rome to get to the hotel and then a 6am wake up call to join the Italy tour. Overall, the trip was very disorganized and stressful, Indus staff were hard to reach for guidance, plus they advertised you did need to speak the language, but they left tourist at the end of the Spain tour and Italy tour with no guidance or trip back to the hotel. My husband had to allow other tourists to tag along with us to help get them back to the hotel.
I wish I knew at the time of booking that Indus is just a middleman between other tour companies. You are not on an Indus bus from start to finish with the same people or tour guide throughout, which is what I experienced with Trafalger. The tour guides have no information to tell you where to be when their portion ends. The price of this trip was not any cheaper than what I experienced with Trafalgar and did not provide the peace of mind that I expected when you pay someone else to handle all aspects of the trip for the price.
The stress ruined our trip. We will not be returning to Indus and would not recommend them.
